SUYP Says Farewell Next Weekend
It’s a celebration of SUYP’s 7 year history in one final, amazing, hilarious event!
After 7 years of bringing nerdy and dirty hilarity to the Quad Cities and beyond, the SUYP Comedy Troupe is closing the curtain once and for all with an event for the ages!
Come and celebrate the history of SUYP with a show filled with improv, sketch, and stand up – starring the performers you know and love, and welcoming back special guests who were once part of the SUYP family themselves!
Joshua Kahn and Nikki Murray reunite one final time to host this extravaganza that is sure to be filled with laughs and tears.
This is the FINAL performance of the SUYP Comedy Troupe, and we plan to sell out!

Winter Reading Program Ends This Week
The Davenport Public Library annual Winter Reading Program ends this week!
Through January 31, Davenport Public Library will be participating in Beanstack’s Fifth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Lerner Publishing Group. The Winter Reading Program is open to all ages and all are encouraged to participate in this fun program.
Participants are asked to read at least 1 book during the month of January and keep track of reading progress on our Beanstack site: davenportlibrary.beanstack.com or by accessing a paper log located at each Davenport Public Library Location. For more chances to earn tickets, complete the 6 activities through the app or on the paper form. Make sure to turn in printed logs by January 31st for a chance to win a grand prize!
Snowstar Appreciation Days End TODAY!

Winter Beekeeping Class Series for Beginners at Nahant Marsh
Discover the world of beekeeping and learn everything you need to get started on this fascinating hobby. Participants will learn how to assemble a hive, how to care for the hive, and how to harvest honey. Textbook and notes are included in the $180 fee which covers 6 classes.
Classes will take place at Nahant Marsh Education Center on Tuesdays from January 25-March 1 at 6-8pm. The course will be instructed by Phil Crandall, Owner/Operator of Crandall Farms Inc., a family owned apiary and farm in Coal Valley, IL. Phil is the founder and main beekeeper for the farm. Beginning his interest since childhood, he has worked with bees almost his whole life. Beekeeping has been a hobby until the last 20 years when he decided to raise bees and honey for sale.
