Today Is The Last Day For The Quad-Cities To Get A Little Music With Their Vaccines
If you get your Covid vaccine at the Rock Island County mass vaccination clinic in Milan 2 and 3 p.m. today, there will be something special that’s literally music to your ears.
“Vaccine Variations” is an initiative that arranges for one-hour performances by QCSO musicians in the patient observation area of the vaccination clinic. Due to Covid precautions, the performances will feature string musicians only.
All musicians will be masked and socially distanced during their performances. As a thank you for their decision to vaccinate, patients will receive a discount code valid for upcoming QCSO performances.
Bassist Julia Kanakaras will perform from 2-3 p.m. We are grateful for the musicians from the QCSO who shared their gifts with people who took control of the pandemic and got vaccinated. Today, we have Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. Friday and Saturday, we will have Pfizer. Anyone 12 and older is eligible for Pfizer. For J&J, the minimum age is 18.
