The city of Rock Island, Illinois, one of the core cities which make up the greater Quad Cities metropolitan area, is located in the southwest “corner” of the Quad Cities – in western Illinois on the Mississippi River, and is home to about 40,000 people.

Rock Island Parks & Recreation offers a wide variety of activities and programs for all ages and includes 27 sites with over 850 acres of parks and green space.
